Bantham Estate covers 728 acres in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Estate includes agricultural land, woodland, grassland and sand dunes as well as the famous Bantham beach.
The Estate’s properties, many of which are Grade II listed, include houses and cottages in the village, the village shop, several boathouses and Bigbury Golf Course. The Estate is also responsible for managing the river Avon estuary that runs through its land.
Like its sister estate, Great Tew in Oxfordshire, Bantham is managed responsibly. There is a focus on the sensitive conservation of the buildings and the careful protection of the landscape in order to maintain the natural beauty and ensure its land and community thrives for generations to come.
